Blackpace is a digital makerspace designed to empower youth of color through technology. In addition, we provide free Pan-African centered social entrepreneurship and digital media resources for Carolina youth.

Our mission is to shape change in our community, by any medium necessary.

Working with a team of Artivists, we teach workshops in beat making, computer graphics, videography, radio, spoken word and puppetry - with a particular focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) curriculums. Further, we facilitate international dialogue and cultural exchange, as part of a new model for Pan-African organizing and building solidarity across Africa and its Diaspora. Leveraging art and technology as vital tools for social change, Blackspace creates projects that educate youth, transform communities, and decolonize tech.
