Dayton Human Relations Council
The Human Relations Council works to influence and ensure a culture of fair treatment, inclusion and equal access to opportunities for all who live, work, play, and gather in the city of Dayton. Through our Community Relations initiatives, the HRC explores racial, cultural, social and economic justice issues and encourage students/ young adults to think critically about their world and major issues impacting society locally and globally.
Through our "Speak. Be Heard. Be Considered." spoken word series and slam, HRC partners with Dayton public schools, local spoken word artists to introduce youth to the art of spoken word and explore ways that critical social dialogue and spoken word can ignite and incite change in communities.
