Young Poets of Louisville, Inc.

Mission: To provide a safe space for young people ages 13-19 to develop themselves through the written and spoken expression of poetry.

Vision: To develop socially engaged and artistic leaders with literary, public speaking, and performance skills.

Young Poets of Louisville is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers free writing and performance workshops twice a month from September to April and youth poetry slams once a month from October to March in addition to other public reading and performance opportunities throughout the year. Participants must be between the ages of 13-19. Workshops are led by local poets, writers, and teaching artists.
