Living Word Festival

The Living Word Festival, produced by the Living Word Project (the resident theater company of Youth Speaks) is an annual fall festival.
It is curated by acclaimed artist, activist and educator Marc Bamuthi Joseph, and features new co-commissioned performance works, live music, and a host of outreach activities that include workshops, speaker sessions, literary panels, educational activities, and more. The Living Word Festival is committed to presenting groundbreaking new interdisciplinary work, particularly that of artists from the West Coast.
Approaching its 9th year, the Living Word Fesitval has featured the likes of Goapele, Jason Samuels-Smith, The Kev Choice Ensemble, Sarah Jones, Jimmy Santiago Baca, Jessica Haggedorn and Guillermo Gómez-Peña and Mos Def.
