The Bigger Picture School Assembly

Book The Bigger Picture School Assembly to dynamically introduce the campaign to your students.

Running Time: 45 minutes to one hour for the assembly, followed by a 45 minute to one hour interactive engagement opportunity during lunch.

Age of Participants: Appropriate for 14 to 24 year-olds
Number of Participants – Flexible. Ranges from 50 students to an entire high school

• Powerful health justice short films by The Bigger Picture spoken-word artists
• Interactive, real-time evaluation
• Hard-hitting facts about health disparities, social determinants of health and Type 2 diabetes

Please complete one form per school at least two weeks prior to your preferred School Visit date.

Live Poet Performance

Book one or several of The Bigger Picture youth poets to perform their original pieces at your event. Please check out our poet bios below to see who is available to perform where, as well as which poems fit best with your event theme. We will do our best to accommodate requests based on poet availability. Please note that all poets must be provided with an honorarium for their time (with rare exceptions). Poets available for booking and their bios are located below.

Book Canzilla

Book Canzilla when you need to make a BIG statement about the danger of soda.

Canzilla is a 20 foot tall inflatable soda can with “Type 2 Diabetes” written in Coca-Cola script and a warning label that reads “State of California Safety Warning: Drinking beverages with added sugar(s) contributes to obesity, diabetes, and tooth decay.”

Canzilla is 125 pounds, 10 feet in diameter, and comes with a blower to inflate. To showcase Canzilla you will need a 14′ by 14′ space, 12 amps of power, an extension cable, 2 people to inflate/ deflate, and 4 sandbags or stakes.

Requests for Canzilla will be processed by Shape Up SF.
